Rhinoplasty (Aesthetic nose surgery)
Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure performed to correct or improve nose aesthetics. Although this surgery is generally preferred for aesthetic reasons, it can sometimes be performed to correct nose functions. Rhinoplasty can be performed for various purposes such as reshaping the nose structure, correcting cartilage and bone, changing the nose size or nose tip shape.
During the surgery, the surgeon uses an appropriate technique, taking into account the patient's facial structure and individual needs. Rhinoplasty is usually performed under general anesthesia. Incisions can be made with a small incision inside or outside the nose. The desired aesthetic and/or functional corrections are achieved by shaping the cartilage and bone structures in the nose.
Although the recovery process is usually short enough to return to social activities within a few days, full recovery may take several weeks. Swelling and bruising seen after surgery will decrease over time.
Rhinoplasty can provide aesthetic and functional improvements by positively affecting the person's face shape and nose structure. However, like any surgical intervention, this procedure involves risks and must therefore be planned carefully. It is important that patients undergo a detailed evaluation before surgery and that it is performed by an experienced surgeon.
